Foe: My Charizard has the upper hand. Fire/Flying Type has 1/4x damage from Grass! Charizard, use Fire Blitz!! Me: Fire/Flying also has 4x the damage from Rock Type. Sceptile, Rock Slide attack. Foe: Oh crap... o_o *Foe's Charizard fainted* That's how I see it. XD
no way a solarbeam can do much damage to a charizard! this is a grass move against a Fire & Flying type! the winner is obvious! sceptile will easily get K.O.ed by any flying or Fire move! CHARIZARD RULZ! i love sceptile too,but this is one fight really tough to win! 95% says charizard will win! if sceptiles really lucky,as in luckiest pokemon alive,he'll win!
And, if I may chime in with my two cents, Sceptile's SolarBeam is made up of sunlight, so in reality it's more like a laser than anything comprised of plant matter, and therefore (when looking at it from a realistic view) Charizard would get devastated, seeing as Sceptile has the speed advantage. The only reason that SolarBeam is a grass type move is because of the chlorophyll in plants that can capture the sunlight. And also, leaf blade is basically a sword, which would give Sceptile the up close advantage, as well, if it were to be looked at realistically. I love both starters, but I don't think Sceptile can be counted out so easily.
i love both starters too! this is pokemon, not reality.dont look at it from a realistic & scientific view! that is da pokemon world, logic doesn't always work there! i'm not yelling at u,just saying what i think.fire & flying have a huge advantage over grass.plus, isn't charizard faster than sceptile?
Nope, Sceptile has the highest speed of any starter. And I don't mean to come off rude or anything, I just really love talking about this stuff . And yeah, strictly in type advantages, Cahrizard has the edge, but when you look at the moves Sceptile can learn, among them is Rock Slide which has the double supereffective advantage on Charizard. And with Sceptile's speed, there's a legitimate shot for him. Unfortunately, in this picture he's using solarbeam, which, admittedly, from a game standpoint is a bad idea, but for an artistic standpoint, it's pretty awesome.
meh maybe. yes charizard has both type advantages but in the picture it looks like he's using slash. in which case if sceptile uses solar beam and hits charizard in the wing then charizard will lose balance and come crashing down. plus sceptile doesn't just know grass type moves he also knows electric type moves like thunder punch which will do 2x the damage. combine that with strong moves like Focus blast which may not have the type advantage but are still strong, or night slash which has high critical his chance. give him a focus sash and game over for charizard. It's not all about the type advantages. sorry about my slightly geeky moment there
it's not all about type advantages, yes.but why,in da hello, would charizard use Slash when he's got all sorts of Fire & Fly type moves?why take risks?charizard could just as easily be preparing 4 a Fire punch!Plus Charizard's fast! chances r than da Solar beam misses,or charizard lands a critical hit before sceptiles can launch da solarbeam!
you have a good point. the only reason I assumed charizard was using slash was because of the white streaks but I guess he could be using one if the elemental punches... and yes he his. ok you've proven you're point... plus I was younger and less experienced at pokemon with my first comment...
